Shredded Apple Pie with Granola Crust

This is one of my mom’s favorite dessert recipes. It’s easy and super yummy. The granola pie crust is easier than a rolled out pie crust, too!


Granola pie crust

2 cups gluten-free granola, ground in a blender

1 tablespoon sugar

2 tablespoons vegan margarine

Apple Pie filling

3/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoons brown rice flour

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

6 large Grannie Smith apples, peeled and shredded


1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Mix the granola pie crust ingredients and press into a pie pan.  Bake for 10 minutes.

3. Combine the filling ingredients.  Pour into the pie shell.  Bake 40-45 minutes.
